I am a HUGE fan of breakfast food. If you have read some previous blog posts of mine, that is probably pretty clear to you. So with that in mind, you could imagine the excitement I felt when I stumbled upon a place with gluten-free waffles in my local city of PHILADELPHIA. Yes, that is right, PHILADELPHIA.
Waffles and Wedges can be found at 1511 Pine St. It is an amazing little shop that sells waffles of ALL kinds, as well as potato wedges. It sounds odd, but it is really exciting. They have sweet, savory, and everything in between.

Obviously, potatoes are naturally gluten-free, but they also have gluten-free waffles, and a variety of toppings are also gluten-free (including ice cream!!!).
Honestly, the waffles were delicious. I love waffles, and I know good waffles when I taste them. These were good. I got mine topped with whipped cream and strawberries, because I am addicted to strawberries. But, as you can see, they have so many options to choose from. And, they were not even that expensive.
Although there is not a lot of seating, it is a pretty swanky little shop.
I would definitely recommend swinging by to grab some waffles (or wedges, if you’re into that). They keep the gluten separate from the gluten-free, and I did not find that it was cross contaminated at all.
It is absolutely a nice relief for those of us who cannot eat gluten but still love breakfast food. I am so happy that I found this little place.
